Non- Violence and Peace Day

Our school CEIP Ntra. Sra. de la Asunción in La Parra have celebrated the Non- Violence and Peace day on January 30th to reflect on values like tolerance, respect and solidarity. We preparared a variety of activities to commemorated this day. Some of them have included: Handcrafts, radio podcasts, practising cooperative games, reading books or wrtiting biographies using the Librarium Platform among others. 

As a whole-school actitivy, we "panted peace" in some very peacefull planters placed on our porch. To do this, everyone decorate a flower, including all the pupils, teachers, the caretaker, the language assistant, and even, the families. 

To finish in our English lessons, we created a mural called "Peace Makers and PEace Breakers". Primary school pupils wrote on peace symbols what can build peace and what can break it- all in English, of course!

PEACE DAY 2025

 This year we are going to present  many ways to participate in Peace Day! We invite you to enjoy with the following activities.

First activity: Pupils in Primary invented their own peace symbol and drew in the worksheet below in the English class.

Second activity: All students in Nursery and Primary and their teachers answered to the question 

What´s peace for you?

For Nursery Peace was LOVE

In 1st and 2nd Grade was FRIENDSHIP

In 3rd and 4th Grade was TOLERANCE

In 5th Grade was RESPECT

In 6th Grade was FREEDOM

PEACE DAY: MARTIN LUTHER KING

From 3rd Primary, children elaborated and preparated a presentation about Martin Luther King. Here you can see a video of this great actitivy.

 CHANT: MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE ☮

Children in Primary have prepared a special chant in order to do an amazing world with no wars, where people help to another people. They drew pictures about good actions and we present in the following video.

INTERNATIONAL PEACE DAY

Next 30th of January, we will celebrate Peace Day in our school.

For that reason, during the first days of  Janurary, we are going to prepare a lot of activities related to this special day.
